The total cost of fire in the United States is defined to be the combination of losses found in the actual loss in fires, the money spent to minimize loss when fighting fires, and the costs in containing, detecting, and suppressing them. For the year 2005 the total cost for all fifty states was just shy of $300 billion. Over time, the actual costs due to fire have experienced a dependable but gradual decrease annually.
As for the Big Island of Hawaii, our fire hydrants suffer from lack of use. Poor fellow. Stuff just doesn't ever get bone dry here.
That's why we dropped everything and came out here to live. We hadn't even visited prior to moving here. The Big Island, called Hawaii, is very rural. It would surprise you to know it has the fifth largest cattle ranch in America. Unknown to most, all the Beaches on Hawaii must be open to the public whether they are privately owned or not. So there have been days my wife and I have gone to the best resorts here in bathing suites, wandered down to the beach and enjoyed ourselves. Our house is open to you should a shoe string is all you have to travel on.
You know the invite goes out to you as well.

You have been OVERHEARD and SEEN at my place!
It could have been a graphic or a quote,
It could have been something that you wrote!
You added greatly to my April Showers Post
So I linked to your blog as a toast,
"For all you do and all you say ...
Wishing you the BEST of this day!"

I've been all over the place and have found reasons not to be completely happy everywhere. So what does that say?
Before you know it, the weather there will be just as refreshing as you remember. But we have an extra bedroom here if you opt out of the continental US>

I'll tell you what that says......'it describes me to a T.' And, so, the comment grabbed me. It'll probably roll around in my head for a few weeks/months. It tells volumes....yes?

It says you are human.
How much worse is it to live in paradise and over time don't quite see things the way I used to see them. Now that I've been here awhile it aint all roses.
